Product
A chamber that does not miss a date.
iCounsel is a practice operating system for Bangladeshi advocates: cause lists, case dossiers, court-fee and limitation calculators, and judgment summaries. Built around the way the Supreme Court and district courts actually run.
The problem
The diary is the system, and the diary is paper.
A chamber runs on dates: filing, admission, rule, hearing, judgment, execution. One missed stay expiry costs a client more than the fee, and one missed limitation date cannot be repaired.
The information exists, but it is spread across cause lists, certified copies, message threads and a diary that only one person can read.
Capability
What it does.
Six parts of the product that do the daily work; everything else supports them.
Cause list and countdown
Today’s listings by bench, with the next matter and its item number kept in view.
Case dossier
Petitions, affidavits, orders and exhibits filed against one case, with a stage pipeline.
Stay and bail watchdog
Interim orders tracked to their expiry date and flagged before they lapse.
Court fee and limitation
Court Fees Act slabs, Limitation Act periods and offence classification, computed rather than remembered.
Judgment summaries
Ratio decidendi, obiter, material facts and cited precedents extracted from a judgment PDF.
Chamber and client work
Client records, a fee ledger, and hearing updates sent to clients without retyping.
Engineering
How it is built.
Three decisions that shape the product, and the stack that carries them.
Built for this jurisdiction
Court terms, fee slabs, limitation periods and vakalatnama formats are Bangladesh-specific, not generic templates.
Dates are the product
Every module answers one question: what is due, and when. Anything that does not serve that is left out.
Designed for a weak connection
Core records stay usable when the chamber internet drops, and reconcile when it returns.
Stack
Judgment analysis streams as it is produced, so a long PDF starts answering before it has finished parsing.
